Tour Preparation

Start Location

All campus tours and in-depth visits begin at the Catherine and Pettus Randall Welcome Center.

Arriving on Campus

  • To allow time for parking and check-in, please arrive on campus at least thirty minutes before your scheduled tour time.
  • While parking is free for visitors, visitors must display their printed parking pass in the dash of their vehicle (this will be emailed after registration for your campus tour). If you did not receive a parking pass via email, please check in when you arrive at Bryce Main to receive a parking pass.
  • Due to limited space on the tour, we cannot guarantee space for guests who have not registered online. If you determine that you need to register additional guests, please use the edit registration button in the email confirmation that you received. If your party has more the four individuals total, please email campustours@ua.edu and include the name on your registration along with the date and time of your tour and how many guests you will have during your visit. We cannot guarantee space above the number of seats you are registered for but we will do our best to accommodate your entire party.

Other Tips

  • Admissions Representatives are available to speak with families at your convenience. Prior appointments are not necessary.
  • Please be prepared for the tour by wearing comfortable shoes and dressing appropriately for the season. We encourage you to check the Tuscaloosa weather forecast prior to your visit.
  • Remember: The University of Alabama operates in the Central time zone. All tour times are displayed in Central time.
  • A map of the university is available at ua.edu/map

Accessibility

Please note that a portion of the tour is a walking tour. To request special accommodations, please include specific needs in the comment section of the registration form.

Service animals (dogs that are trained to perform work or tasks for a person with a disability) are welcome on campus and can accompany their owners on campus tours. Pets and emotional support animals are not allowed on university tours under any circumstances.
