International Student Scholarships
The University of Alabama offers a generous scholarship program for students admitted for the Fall term. International incoming first time freshmen admitted by March 1, have a qualifying score on the ACT or SAT (critical reading and math scores only), and have at least a 3.0 cumulative high school GPA will be eligible for the following merit-based scholarships:

|Capstone||28-29 ACT or 1300-1350 SAT||3.00-3.49||$8,000|
Please have standardized test scores sent directly to The University of Alabama from the testing agency.

The above scholarships will be awarded automatically based on an applicant’s GPA and test scores. Students who submit a scholarship application and all required supporting documents by the deadline may also be eligible for limited university and departmental scholarships. A Note About Test Scores
- The optional writing section on the SAT is not required for admissions or scholarship purposes.
- The writing section of the ACT is not required for admissions or scholarship purposes.
Academic Elite Scholarships
International students are also eligible for Academic Elite Scholarships. To be considered for an Academic Elite Scholarship, a student must be accepted as a member of the University Fellows Experience (UFE). Complete information on the UFE can be found on the Honors site.
Transfer Student Scholarships
There are also limited scholarships available to transfer students. The deadline to apply is March 1. (More information about transfer scholarships)
