International Student Scholarships

International incoming first time freshmen admitted by December 15, have a qualifying score on the ACT or SAT (critical reading and math scores only), and have at least a 3.0 cumulative high school GPA will be eligible for the following merit-based scholarships:

UA Scholar 30-31 ACT or 1360-1410 SAT 3.50+ $20,000
Foundation In Excellence 29 ACT or 1330-1350 SAT 3.50+ $15,000
Foundation In Excellence 30-36 ACT or 1360-1600 SAT 3.00-3.49 $15,000
Collegiate 28 ACT or 1300-1320 SAT 3.50+ $10,000
Capstone 27 ACT or 1260-1290 SAT 3.50+ $8,000
Capstone 28-29 ACT or 1300-1350 SAT 3.00-3.49 $8,000

Please have standardized test scores sent directly to The University of Alabama from the testing agency.

The above scholarships will be awarded automatically based on an applicant’s GPA and test scores. Students who submit a scholarship application and all required supporting documents by the deadline may also be eligible for limited university and departmental scholarships. Academic Elite Scholarships

International students are also eligible for Academic Elite Scholarships. To be considered for an Academic Elite Scholarship, a student must be accepted as a member of the University Fellows Experience (UFE). Complete information on the UFE can be found on the Honors site.

Transfer Student Scholarships

There are also limited scholarships available to transfer students. The deadline to apply is March 1. (More information about transfer scholarships)
