The University of Alabama

Steps to Admission - Transfer Students

Since 1831, The University of Alabama has offered students a high-quality education at an affordable cost, which is in part why U.S. News & World Report has listed UA as one of the top 50 public universities in the nation for each of the last 10 years. In addition, UA has a beautiful 1,000-acre campus in Tuscaloosa, an All-America City of 125,000, which offers opportunities for employment and affordable housing, all located only 50 miles from Birmingham. In the fall of 2010, 30,232 students enrolled in UA's more than 200 fields of study.

While 33 percent came from 49 states, District of Columbia, U.S. territories, U.S. military overseas or 61 foreign countries, 67 percent have continued to call Alabama home. Explore the links below and discover how Alabama is the place where your dreams can grow.
